The University of Kansas Medical Center is proud to be the local CMN Hospital in the Greater Kansas City area. Funds raised through CMN events go directly to fund pediatric research initiatives taking place exclusively at KU Medical Center. In addition, funds help sick and injured children being treated at the University of Kansas Health System. These dollars are used to pay for charitable care, equipment, supplies and educational programs.
Children's Miracle Network Hospitals began in 1983 by founders Marie Osmond, Jon Schneider, Mick Shannon and Joe Lake. Since then, each year 170 Children's Miracle Network Hospitals throughout the US and Canada provide the finest medical care, life saving research and preventative education to help thousands of kids overcome diseases and injuries of every kind.
The organization’s two goals were to:
1. Help as many children as possible by raising funds for hospitals serving children, and
2. Keep funds in the community in which they were raised to help local children and their families.
Those goals still drive the organization to new heights today.
In 1985, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals proudly partnered with the University of Kansas Medical Center, where we have been helping local kids ever since.
